Pluralism Tote
I created a tote bag that symbolizes the diversity within Israel, particularly in Jerusalem. In this city, Muslims, Christians, and Jews peacefully cohabit, sharing spaces for worship and daily life. I presented this design as a gift during a gathering aimed at fostering discussions on promoting peace across the Middle East beyond Jerusalem. The abstract imagery on the tote incorporates symbols significant to each religion. Christian motifs such as the Jerusalem cross and the depiction of the Ten Commandments are featured alongside a representation of a palm frond. Islamic symbols include the Al-Aqsa mosque, an arabesque pattern, and arches reminiscent of the temple mount. Additionally, a menorah symbolizes Judaism, while also echoing the theme of the Ten Commandments shared with Christianity.
